The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills announced that it plans to close its Sheffield office, putting 250 jobs at risk.
Work from Sheffield, includes policy development, this will move to London and senior officials have said BIS will be withdrawing from other sites across the UK, risking a further 100 jobs.
