The following details have been supplied by the Trades Council:

“We would like to invite you to come along and show support for the community event “One Preston, One Community,” to be held on Preston’s Flag Market on Saturday, February 20th between 12pm and 2pm.

We are united in our defence of Preston’s multicultural community and in our opposition to the fascist march in Preston planned for February 20th.

An attack on any section of our community is an attack on all of us.  Racist demonstrations, by groups such as the EDL and North West Infidels, have been successfully opposed by diverse alliances of faith, community and Trade Union groups, together with MPs, MEPs, Councillors.  As well, of course, as the young and old, male and female, gay and straight of whatever race.

There have been successful demonstrations of such diversity and unity, not least in Preston in October 2015.

Please come along and show your support for P&SRTUC’s planned opposition to the EDL march in Preston in February.”
