Members have raised questions with the Branch on specific points. We have raised these with PCS DWP Group and have received answers, the details are published below:

 Question 1:

 Fixing start or finish time.

 Paragraph 13 c) refers as follows:

 “Each employee will commit to fix either the start (e.g. 8:00 and/or 9:00 on weekdays) or the end of the day (e.g. 17:00 and/or 18:30 on weekdays……”

 Question

 Unfortunately some people are construing this as you can only start at 8:00 am (7:30 am if you fix at 8:00 am) or 9:00 am. You cannot fix at 8:15 am, 8:30 am, 8:45 am etc. Can you please confirm what times other than 8:00 am (7:30 am if you fix at 8:00 am) or 9:00 am you can fix in the morning (similarly the same issues in the afternoon)?

 Answer

 Members will be able to state their preferred start or finish times in the 6 month plan.

 These do not have to be at 8.00 or 9.00 only or at 17.00 in the evening. If the team can provide the cover it needs and agree the preferred start time of the member then they should do so.
