Members have raised questions with the Branch on specific points. We have raised these with PCS DWP Group and have received answers, the details are published below:
Question 1:
If someone had opted out due to incorrect information being given by the employer could they opt in in the future (and vice versa)?
Answer
DWP have said that they will look at such cases on a case by case basis. They are developing a policy to ensure there is a consistent approach.
In the mean time I suggest that the member requests in writing that they want to change their decision and why.
