Members have raised questions with the Branch on specific points. We have raised these with PCS DWP Group and have received answers, the details are published below:

Question 1:

We were still having problems in PIP Programme (part of Corporate Centre) regarding being allowed to start at 7:30 am i.e. “you can’t claim flexi before 8am unless you are travelling’.

Has there been a reply from the employer.

Answer

Yes.

The Senior HRBP has spoken to the HRBP for the Personal Independence Programme, part of the Business Transformation Group to rectify this matter. The HRBP can confirm that if a member of staff has a 08:00 fixed start then they can flexi on from 07:30 in accordance with the Collective Agreement. 

All areas of the Corporate Centre have operating hours beginning at 08:00.  Each team works collaboratively to ensure the right levels of cover throughout the day including ensuring cover at the end of  the day. Colleagues who agree to fix at 08:00 start, in collaboration with colleagues can flexi on earlier.
