The following is a response for the Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council::
I believe that one morning bus and one evening bus will still run to Peel Park. XXX will be able to provide the timings. Unfortunately, due to the fact we have had to cut bus subsidiaries in the budget process we are unable to run the Peel Park to the same extend, as it was extremely underused and costing BTS a large amount of money. I am unsure as to why the details are not included in the attachment.
The following is a follow on response from Blackpool Transport:
The decision to reduce the service to Peel Park has been taken due to the low number of passengers who are using this service. The average number was 2 people per trip.
From Monday 3rd April 2017 Peel Park will only get one am and one pm journey per a day.
The morning number 6 service arrives at Peel Park at 0829; this journey starts at Grange Park at 0739, serving Blackpool Town Centre at 0800.
For passengers travelling from Fleetwood will need to board the 0700 from Fleetwood and change in Blackpool Town Centre.
In the afternoon the number 6 will leave Peel Park at 1711 arriving into Blackpool at 1745. Passengers travelling towards Fleetwood will need to catch the 1800 number 14.
I did correspond with XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX asking for a meeting to look at a collaborative solution to this matter but was then passed to XXXXXX who did not respond.
