Break the 1% pay cap – tell the government: It’s time to pay up
PCS has irrefutable evidence of the damaging effects of civil service pay policy which shows that the value of earnings since 2010 has fallen further than the value of pay in the rest of the public sector, and in the economy as a whole. The 1% civil service pay cap, the removal of salary progression, increased pension scheme and National Insurance contributions combine to impact on our members. At the end of the month some members are now facing difficult choices between paying bills and putting food on the table. Tell us how this has impacted on you. No to DWP office closures – Sign the petition
DWP is planning to close in excess of hundred offices which will put at risk public services hurting claimants, staff and communities. Ministers must take into account these impacts – sign the petition and make your voice heard.
Oppose MoD site closures – Ask your MP to support our campaign
PCS is opposing the 30% cut to MOD estate which has multiple negative impacts for our members and the wider community.
In February, a Parliamentary debate saw MPs from across the political spectrum criticise and oppose site cuts in local constituencies and echo our concerns. Sites are being proposed for closure without due consultation regarding impacts on job security, staff and veterans amongst others. These closures risk taking jobs and trade away from local communities. With the cuts due at any point between now and 2040, your support is needed to ensure effective opposition to these cuts.
