Workers Beers Circular 2017

PCS young members have bid for places with Worker’s Beer Company (WBC) for Glastonbury and Latitude festivals. Four places have been allocated for Glastonbury and six places have been allocated for Latitude. If you are interested in volunteering you will be required to work between 4-8 hours a day at a beer tent in one of the named music festivals we have places for. Volunteers for Glastonbury MUST be available from Tuesday 20 – Monday 26 June, and for Latitude – travel to site Wednesday 12 July to leave Monday 17 July. WORKER’S BEER COMPANY – VOLUNTEERS

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE 27 AND UNDER

•    Last minute dropouts (less than 7 days notice) will affect our future allocations – so you must notify us 3 weeks before the event if you cannot attend or you will be charged £225.
•    Volunteers must be 18 years or over.
•    You must be reliable and honest and references will be required for each volunteer.
•    We will require up to date contact details before you will be considered as a volunteer.
•    You will need to adhere to the code of conduct – if you breach this we will be charged £225. This will not be paid by PCS but by YOU. (A breach can constitute failing to appear for your shift)

Each festival will have its own secure camping facilities with showers, toilets, canteen and a bar. From past experience volunteers will be provided with 2 meal vouchers per day and 2 drinks vouchers will be issued at the end of each shift worked which may be used at a nominated bar on the site or in the WBC Bar in campsite.

•    Which event(s) you are interested in working at (Glastonbury or Latitude);
•    PCS membership number;
•    A photo of yourself – this needs to be of your head and shoulders and in jpeg format no larger than 80kb;
•    Full name;
•    Date of Birth (to confirm you’re over 18);
•    Address;
•    Contact phone number;
•    Contact email address;
•    Next of kin and their contact details (in the rare event of an emergency);
•    Whether or not you have any mobility issues:
•    In no more than 250 words – why you think you should be selected to represent PCS.

Applications need to be made by mid-day on 19 April. There will be no extension to this deadline.
