Members have raised questions with the Branch on specific points. We have raised these with PCS DWP Group and have received answers, the details are published below:

Question:

I voluntarily put down one certain day every week (Wednesday) at 6:30pm on the preferences on the Team Planning Tool.

I received an e-mail mandating me to do a Friday at 6:30 PM, and was threatened “with failure to comply with this reasonable request to participate in the team planning tool could lead to disciplinary action being considered”.

As the following Wednesday is within 5 working days from the Friday, I requested that the following Wednesday be removed as it was within 5 consecutive days. I took 5 consecutive days as being working days.

The response from the line manager indicated that weekends are taken into account.

Please advise which is correct?

Answer:

The ED says “5 consecutive working days”.

The aim of this was to avoid anyone having to do 2 lates in the same week.
