HeartUnions week is described by the TUC as our opportunity to focus attention on the great work unions are doing in workplaces across the country, and show how unions are vital to making sure everybody has a voice at work.

One of the themes for HeartUnions 2018 is the campaign led by public sector unions to secure a fair, funded pay rise for workers across the public sector. On the Wednesday of HeartUnions week which is Valentines day, TUC regions will be running an event asking Philip Hammond to “show public services some love” using large mocked-up Valentines cards as a photo-opportunity,asking local MPs to sign and be pictured eith the card to send a message to the Chancellor that he must deliver the funding for a fair pay rise for public servants.
