TUC National march and rally – a new deal for working people, 12 May 2018 – London

Intention is for a well-run, family-friendly, non-sectarian and safe event. The event will kick off with a traditional march followed by a rally with speakers. The speaker line-up will represent the diversity of the trade union movement, and include as many frontline workers as possible.

The date has been announced and is being promoted on social media and the TUC website. Materials are in preparation. The national political officer is attending the TUC planning group.

The TUC estimates 200,000 people, and is seeking 1,000 volunteer stewards. They are assuming therefore that we mobilise 13,000 PCS members and book 100 coaches.
