DWP/MB/008/18 gave branches details of the campaign to support the Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centres.
The campaign is in response to the decision by the Tory controlled Derbyshire County Council to cut its funding for the Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centres. The centres rely on this funding for a large proportion of its income.
Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centres have been providing advice and support for benefit claimants for many years. They have also been a good friend to PCS supporting our campaigns and struggles both in the East Midlands and nationally.
As part of the campaign, a petition has been launched and the Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centres have asked PCS to help publicise the petition to ensure it gets as many signatures as possible.
The attached link takes you to the petition.
Please do everything you can to publicises the petition in your branch.
