The GEC are shocked and horrified to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica and other Caribbean Islands, as it has made its way through the Caribbean. We are very sad that lives have been lost, and many have been left without shelter or drinking water because of Melissa.  There will be many of you who are connected to the Caribbean Islands who will be affected either for family reasons or whilst being on holiday.  The Group is ready to support our affected members.

The Group welcomes the Government supporting the chartering of flights to evacuate British citizens, if members are still stranded they will need to registered your presence and do so immediately.  If you are or were stranded your manager should consider special leave if you require further leave; make the request with your line manager and seek support from your local representative.

Also, if there is anything you need to discuss with your local PCS representative in the first instance, please contact your branch via the digital platform Log on to PCS Digital and find your rep video guide

If you are unable to access PCS Digital, please email: responseteam@pcs.org.uk
